An intro to clean, cruelty-free beauty

After organizing my beauty drawer for maybe the tenth time, I decided to toss any products that were A) old (anything over a year) and B) not vegan or cruelty-free. Unsure what clean/vegan/cruelty-free beauty means? It all comes down to animal testing. These types of brands do not test their products on animals or use animal products, and many of them use natural ingredients that are good for you and the earth.

One brand I've used in the past from the days when I had a Birchbox subscription is Trestique. When they reached out to me I vividly remembered this one lipstick I LOVED and literally used every single day. Now that I know more about clean beauty, I was happy to partner with them to show off their new beachy + peachy mini set! As someone who is also passionate about sustainability, I was impressed to see that a recycled bottle could turn into a makeup bag.

Since the start of quarantine, I've been experimenting with makeup and having fun with it. This past month, I stopped. Only focused on my skincare routine. This Trestique campaign was a good way to get back into creating a routine because I honestly enjoy the creativity of using my face as a canvas.

The products are lightweight and feel creamy:

Mini Lip Glaze in Georgia Peach (LOVE)

Mini Blush Stick in Moroccan Rose (my favorite)

Mini Highlight Stick in Bondi Beach

Mini Eye Pencil in Roman Bronze

Mini Shadow Crayon in Morimoto Pink Pearl

Use code PIERA so you can try them out for yourself (20% off $30 or more) and tell me what you think.
